Customizing the TLD Search Order

When a domain search is performed on SuperSite 2, users are shown related results in addition to any specific TLDs that they searched for. Using the TLD Search Order, you can control which TLDs show up at the top of the related results section.

To Customize the TLD Search Order

  1. Login to your Control Panel. See details

  2. In the Menu, point to Settings and then click Manage Products and Pricing

  3. Click the Domain Registration link.

  4. Click the Set TLD Search order link.

  5. Choose TLDs to preferentially show at the top of the domain search results.

  6. Click the Update button.

Now consider a potential visitor on your website, looking for a domain name. When he checks the availability for a particular string, the search results display information in the following sequence:

  1. Availability in the TLD selected

  2. Availability in other TLDs. This will be based on the TLD Search Order set by you as explained above.

  3. Availability in country specific TLDs, based on the visitor's location.

  4. Intelligent "name spinner" suggestions of highly suitable TLDs based on the string searched.

This will help the visitor choose the most relevant TLDs for his business.
